BSPPA’s 2007 Symposium & Marketing Exchange WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

Held on October 09 through 11, 2007 at the Heritage Inn in Great Falls. 

President Rob Rung conducted the roll-out session for the 
NEW Contract Management Certification Program:

Procurement 101 - CPP
(Certified Procurement Professional)

2 Day Session
(1 1/2 days training - 1/2 testing)

Covers basic procurement, exploring the various laws, policies, and procedures related to public procurement, the differences and similarities between contracts, grants and ethics issues.

Financial Management - CCS
(Certified Contract Specialist)

2 Day Session
(1 1/2 days training - 1/2 testing)

Course offers basics of contract financial management that includes project funding - including matching dollars, budgeting and expenditures tracking, requests for reimbursements, and contract auditing. Also covers establishing a suitable accounting system that works within existing account structures.

Contract Management - CCO
(Certified Contracts Officer)

Prerequisite - must have passed CPP course test to attend this training

3 Day Session
(2 1/2 days training - 1/2 testing)

Proper contract management is essential to ensure contractor and vendor compliance with the contract - that both parties d what the contract says they will. This course will cover all aspects of contract management; from inception to closure, including scopes of work, documenting, negotiation skills, and acceptance criteria.
